pool party

two more vegas posts left darlings. during the first few days we lounged by the pool almost all day long. that's what vacations are for, right? as always, I try to stay fashionable any where I go and the pool is no exception.

I have a total love affair with mis-matching bathing suits. I am fairly certain that you will never find me wearing a swim suit of entirely one color. I love pairing basic solid bottom pieces with fun, patterned bikini tops. and also raise your hand if you adore this fedora! j'dore fedora! it was getting passed around the entire time because everyone wanted a photo in it.

the pool scene at T.I. is completely ridiculous. I had my first encounter with the madness on my 21st birthday, the first time we stayed there. It is seriously out of control. Its like spring break but EVERYDAY. I don't even know what to do with myself, because some of the things I saw happen there... well I just can't even talk about on this blog. I really don't know why some people aren't embarassed by some of the things that they are doing.... when it takes 4 of your friends to get you dressed next to the pool while you are still attempting to dance and instead falling over... perhaps its time to check yourself girl. srsly.

anyways, I know it wasn't my usual crazy outfit posts... but these suits were too cute not to post! ahh sigh... looking at these is making me miss vacation. dreaming of mojitos by the pool, instead working my butt off at home. hmm. time to start planning/saving for the next trip.

happy Wednesday! its GLEE day! woo!

party like a rock star

Recognize this one?? Its a re-do, but its one of my favorite little shirts. Check it out the first time around here. I picked it up, along with a red maxi one, on my honeymoon in Hawaii. there was this adorable little stand off the beach that had all these gorgeous silk dresses. its remarkably comfortable, however wearing a bra just can't really happen here. I think it comes off alright though. I love how it drops down so low in the back. Its one of my features that I can actually say that I really like about myself and work really hard on at that gym, so its fun to show it off now and again! :)

I paired it with my faux leather leggings and purse that I picked up in Milan over the summer. and I am wearing these boots that I bought for the Vegas trip, and I have been wearing them non-stop. I am in love with the "over the knee" boot look this season, and I need to pick up another pair. I'm thinking in a fun color.... I'm craving some red boots like crazy... like the fabulous Kyla of Blue Collar Catwalk!

and how much fun are these earrings?! the feathers were totally tickling me the entire night, but to complete this "rock star" look they were necessary.

we started the night with the whole group for drinks at mist. don't my mama and her friends look like fun? they are such a cute group.

after hours, my bestie and I headed over to Christian Audigier where we were on the VIP list. :) our good friend from college, Sharon, is a Vegas promoter, and her brothers are famous DJ's. Its fun to know people with an "in". They always make sure to hook us up when we roll the strip. Thanks Shar!

a few more vegas posts! happy tuesday!

new york, new york

So this week I will be finishing up the rest of my Vegas outfits, before returning to everyday posts. I am so far behind in posting its ridiculous! I went thrifting last week and found some really wonderful pieces that I am rocking this week and I can't wait for you all to see them. but first, back to vegas. :)

this was our last night.... the hubby and I were supposed to go home, but we gave up our seats on our flight and they paid for our hotel! score! They also paid us 300 dollars each! WHAT?! it was our lucky weekend. and even though I don't gamble, the hubby did, and between that moo la and the airplane money we totally paid for the entire weekend. thanks VEGAS! so what did I do with that money? shop of course! I grabbed this adorable ensemble at the shops at Caesar's. the hubby took me out to dinner to celebrate our winnings.

after dinner I had to change out of those killer boots. while they are fantastic, they are not so comfortable and we wanted to walk all around. we headed over to new york, new york to hit up the piano bar. one of my FAVS!

a few more vegas outfits this week, so stay tuned.... what did all of you ladies do over the weekend??

zombieland

Hi ladies! Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone is having a fabulous weekend. I am posting my last two halloween posts today, so that starting tomorrow I can focus on the new holiday season. Its always sad to say goodbye to my favorite holiday, but I am already dreaming of next years costumes. :)

these photos are from another night of Halloween celebration! We went to Zombie-Fest Tucson a few days before Hween. The hubby didn't want to dress up, but after seeing these costumes, we will be sure to do it next year.... we are thinking zombie cheerleader and football player.... except I'll be the football player and he will be the cheerleader! ha.

so, of course I am rockin my orange pumpkin tights with a black ensemble to show my hween spirit. now prepare yourself for the below photos! Zombies on the loose!!

it was SUCH a blast. and everyone got really into it.... walking like a zombie, yelling out "braaaaiiins", and other zombie type behavior. enjoy!

nightmare before christmas

ok ok, OK enough Halloween. I get it! this is my final hween post, and then I promise to stop talking about it and start enjoying christmas season! yes to glitter, and ornaments, and warm xmas cookies. adore. so for this last post, I was reminiscing about last years epic hween. usually, we have the HUGE party since my hubby's birthday is a few days before hween. this year was so low key compared to what we usually do, and it made me want to drag out photos from last year. here are some tales from hween past. :)

the big party last year. hubby was a greek/athenian warrior, and I was a greek goddess ( I was aphrodite, but no one understood when I said that...geeez friends pick up a frickin book some day!) My favorite were our friends that came as smurfs. took them days to get that blue off!

another costume from last year, it was the final night of celebration and we couldn't agree on a costume. so we rocked different ones. he was an army stud, and I was the material girl, MADONNA! but circa the 1980's when she was the most fun. obviously.

these are our pups. we didn't dress them up this year, as we had no trick or treaters. but they were adorable last year.

our costumes while handing out candy at our house. I was a friendly, good witch, while the hubby and friends chose to be horribly scary and mean to the poor little trick or treaters.

pictures of our other activities.... visiting the winchester mansion in san jose! miss taylor, I know you know what I am talking about!

picking out pumpkins from our favorite patch. miss you Perry's!

we usually get really into our pumpkins, both of our pumpkins last year won contests! my hubby made fun of me for my "twi-pumpkin" because this was in october before the movie came out and before the mania. he told me that NO one was going to know what my pumpkin was about. well about 100 trick or treating teenage girls went ga-ga over it. ha. in your FACE husband.

ok, look forward to more outfit posts tomorrow!
