ok, so I'm going to vent for a minute. which in itself stresses me out because I feel like I've been doing a lot of venting as of recently and I'm kind of sick of it. I love having a positive outlook on life and I would just love it if the universe could cut me a break now and again. you know, so that I can keep having a positive attitude and not turn into a bitter, old wench. yup, wench. all you need to know is that, my friends, I am NOT a realtor. and therefore should not be having to show a property in lieu of an actual realtor who is getting paid to do so. I'm not going to go into details. instead I am going to chat about my mailbox mavens outfit number three. fashion makes me happy, so lets do this.
meet amy. well, thats silly because most of you know the lovely and talented amy already! she is the brains behind the bargain hunter extraordinaire.
not only does she blog about the fantastic shopping bargains that she has a knack for finding, but she makes some really groovy jewelry as well! amy was one of my first blogger friends and is just oozing with style and grace. I kind of adore this girl and I really can't say enough about the amount of "fabulous" that she brings into my life. thanks, miss amy, for your friendship and support. and thanks for loaning me your ridiculously gorgeous skirt for the swap. :)
on to the challenge:
now this was an interesting one. amy knows that I live for a challenge and her wishes for the skirt?
pair with another pattern!
challenged accepted.the feel of the skirt is very retro and mod to begin with, so I searched my closet for another piece that felt the same way. of course, polka dots will always live up to the vintage vibe. this shirt worked perfectly, because while the patterns are different they have similar colors and vibes. in the words of my other notorious blogger gal pal, christen...

the umbrella was clearly needed to complete the ensemble. sadly, the weather chose not to cooperate by providing me with rain. in my defense, the sun is very intense down here and an umbrella is not a completely insane way to shade yourself from those harmful UV rays.
you guessed it. another one from my collection of busy bee headbands. they truly are the most nifty and delicious little creations. the sparkly bow really added to my "retro chic" look.
ok, ladies and gents. hope you have been enjoying the mailbox mavens week as much as I have. I love rising to the occasion of each of these fashion challenges.
and if you are in need of some venting, just let me know. I am the venting queen this week. and I am vowing that in the next ten days, I am going to let the frustration go in order to be able to enjoy my newport beach weekend. speaking of which, I still haven't found my perfect premiere dress for the film festival, so if you have any ideas puh-lease be a doll and pass them along.
ALSO, who watched GLEE last night? amazing. speechless. I bow down to the gods of glee. and can I just say that next week's madonna episode will most likely kill me? because it will. if you aren't watching/haven't ever watched, time to jump on the bandwagon. I promise, it will NOT disappoint.
cheers.
xoxo
