More love from San Francisco. We spent a day in Wine country at my parent's house, and a day gallivanting around the city doing tourist type things. I am in full support of experiencing tourist things in any city, even if you have lived there! Anyways, it was such a gorgeous day. The fog was rolling right over the Golden Gate Bridge as we drove from the North bay into the city. It was picture perfect, so we dropped the top on my mom's convertible and shot some amazing pictures as we were rolling through.

Oh the Haight. One of my favorite areas of the city. If you are a thrift shopper and you are in SF this place is a MUST see. So many fantastic little shops and funky places to eat. If you love art, there is plenty here, and of course the Haight is full of history as well. My husband says I love it because of my "inner tree-hugging-gronola- eating- hippie", and who am I to argue with that. :)

Had some coffee and strolled along the pier. Its nice to do this late in the fall, early winter because its not as busy, and really not cold yet. The pier is so lovely in the summer months, but overwhelmed with tourists! Did you know the SF is one of the most popular destinations from all over the world? Its crazy! If you are down there on a summer day, you can literally meet people from almost any continent. Such an amazing city.
my mama and my lil bro, or big bro as it were seeing as he is a foot taller than me these days.

The bro and I are both history buffs, American, European, you name it! So we headed out to Alcatraz for a few hours. Love all of the tours there, you learn so much!
Then of course I had to include some shots from my alma mater. St. Mary's College of California. We are a very small school, but have probably the best campus in all of Ca. Its AMAZING. We may be small, but we are Division one in most of our sports. Our boys basketball usually go to the NCAA or the NIT every year. Go Gaels! These girls were my dance team girls! We all like to come back to the games together to cheer our team on.
my mom, and my uncle (my dad was running around talking to old friends). Yeah, did I mention that EVERYONE in my family has gone to St. Mary's. Seriously, both parents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins. Its like a family tradition.
Good old McKeon Pavilion
Yeah...no comment really on these last pictures except that I am obviously a nerd. the end.
ok, ok so I know that this is total spring time wear but I had to pull it out yesterday because it was so hot, AGAIN. sigh. I was loving the cool weather last week. But yesterday it decided to spike back up. Despite trying to be in the best Christmas mood, I went with the spring time flow and whipped out this number from the closet. I bought this off etsy last year when I was going though my crazy, vintage only phase. love me some vintage. I call this my tea party dress. Don't I look like I'm off to tea in some fabulous little garden? hmmm I wish. nope I was off to Italian and then to fax some things for work. But hey, a girl can still look good while faxing!

sigh again. this is just one of those dresses that makes me feel super girly and pretty. Usually I opt more towards funky, but I love this sweet look. Does anyone else have something that makes them feel super girly and pretty? well, you all should. :) I'm also rocking my Stella and Dot ring in this picture. If you are looking for one of your own, head over to visit my friend, Nicky, and she will get you in business. now off for a VERY busy day. after another test the hubs and I are going to look at more houses! yay! getting that whole American dream thing in order. don't know if they have white, picket fences in Tucson. May have to settle for some cacti :). Also, I am stressing out because we are going to this government Christmas party tomorrow night for the hubby's work and I am at a complete loss at what to wear or how to do my hair! It will be the first time I will be meeting most of these people so I really would love to make a great impression. Would be nice to get some friends down here! Leave me any suggestions you may have.... thanks girls!
Happy Friday to you all :)
YEE-HAW little ladies :) The fam and I spent Friday afternoon down in Tombstone, Arizona. Our time was chalk full of gun fights, horse back rides, old west photo shoots, and endless amounts of cowboy jokes. My outfit was really simple but I made sure to wear my favorite cowgirl boots to really get into the spirit. It was a really neat old town and the pictures below don't do it justice. They had a cowboy on each corner. So so so funny when you would catch one out of character like on their cell phone or eating a hot dog! But if someone could please tell me how I sign up for that job, that would be fantastic. Stand on a corner, wear an awesome costume, and wink at tourists all day. Are you kidding me? ridiculous in the best way. Do you know what else is ridiculous in the best way? The old west family portrait below. Just have a look. :)
Ok, so these are my in-laws. They are too much fun. I mean what family would agree to this? um MINE! My hubby's two youngest siblings (Layton and Dennae in the lower left corner) are adopted and as you can see are of Hispanic descent. Layton of course thought it would be HILARIOUS to dress up as an amigo with a sombrero while the rest of the boys were cowboys. oh man, I don't know what to do with this family sometimes. Anyways, I think it turned out superbly funny, and the below photo is without a doubt making an appearance in the Christmas card, which I ordered today! Send me a note with your address if you would like one! :)

All in all, it was a neat little day and I recommend it for anyone traveling in the area. happy Tuesday folks! and look out for those tumbleweeds! xoxo
