I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart.

mailbox mavens post number four of the week. I am out of words. an enigma: a perpetual english student being out of words. alas, it is true. here we have another skirt from the wonderful amy. the challenge? same as yesterday's skirt. pair with another bold pattern or color.

I went with a similar pattern in a different color and accessorized with pops of red in my patent pumps and heart purse. I was actually wearing a gray and black tie dyed dress underneath the skirt and added the plaid top last minute, as I liked that combo better. some days it takes a few attempts to get it right. I love how amy wore this, and for my outfit I decided to dress it down for everyday. the skirt was beyond comfy and I was able to run around all day in this cute and casual look.

when ever I wear my erin fetherston purse from a few years back I am reminded of one of my favorite poems by e.e. cummings. since I seem to be out of words today, I shall borrow his...

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)
I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)
I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)

here's to hoping that all of your hearts are full.

xoxo
